Assisted Hatching :
IVF technique is not that easy task to take up till the embryo starts to mature in the uterus. The embryo/human eggs have an outer shell (referred as Zona Pellucida (ZP) in medical terminology) that protects it during the process of development of the embryo. At the time of hatching of the embryo during the blastocyst stage, it is necessary for the hatching to take place correctly for the correct implantation in the uterus. If any difficulty occurs during the hatching out at the blastocyst stage, it can lead to failure of implantation and then it would be impossible to get a pregnancy.
Assisted Hatching is one such process to cope up with this chance of failure for the patients undergoing the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technique. In assisted hatching, a hole or a thinning layer is made in the zona pellucida of the embryo with an aim to assist the hatching process at the blastocyst stage (around 5th or 6th day of development of the embryo). This further causes a safe implantation of the embryo in the uterus and increases the chances of pregnancy.
Mathrutva Fertility Centre provides this safest technology of laser assisted hatching for patients categorized by different age groups since the thinning and the hole provided vary with the embryo size and the age of the women’s age. This technology definitely does not increase the quality of embryo but assists a successful implant of the embryo in the uterus and also increases the chances of pregnancy achieved. Couples facing IVF failures can try this latest technology by visiting Mathrutva Fertility Centre.
